Crafty Christmas

If you fancy having some of my pin up ladies adorning your Christmas cards there's only one way to go about it! I currently have 3 Christmas digital crafting kits available for sale on Daisytrail.com, they feature a huge selection of hand-drawn character illustrations and supporting embellishments, background papers, alphabets and brushes, and all work with a piece of software called CraftArtist. You can download a FREE compact version of the CraftArtist software to give it a try and make your own DIY Christmas Cards and crafts for your dinner table. 

It allows you to quickly and easily make greetings cards and other crafty items on your PC, to print at home, using the illustrations etc from these kits. It's a lot of fun and if you're artistically inclined you can import your own illustrations, photos etc to make a fully customizable project.

Anyway enough babble, here's some of my pretty pictures from the kits!

A crafty update!

I've been a busy bee of late so I'm aware my blog is well overdue an update!

Late September we spent 2 and a half weeks in the USA on a little roadtrip from San Francisco to Las Vegas via Yellowstone and lots of other scenic places, it was hugely inspirational.
Here's me with 3 Elvises and a man dressed as the Vegas sign!

While I was away my latest digital scrapbooking kits were released on Ideal World's Create and Craft TV. The kits were....PIN UP THEMED! I had to keep that a secret far too long! There were 5 kits in total on different themes, here's a little selection of images from the different kits.

We're also celebrating my promotion to Senior Creative Illustrator at Serif and the release of my Christmas scrapbooking kits for Craft Artist, now available to buy on Daisytrail.com. My kits are "Traditional"  "Retro" and "Homebaked" but more about those in a future blog!

a little soon soon for Christmas but...

 

My Christmas digital scrapbooking kits have finally been released on Ideal World and will be released on Daisytrail.com in September.  I was working on these in February and now they've been released to give you plenty of time to make all your own sexy Christmas greetings cards, gift tags and table decorations.

My favourite kit is 'Retro' which is inspired by 1950s and 60's stylised printed graphics, created in ink and then coloured using a sponge paint texture to replicate an old fashioned screen-printed or letterpressed look. I've also created a detailed pencil 'Traditional' Victorian inspired kit and a 'Homebaked' kit full of real christmas cookies.

Craft Artist & Ideal World

I've mentioned a little bit about my new full time illustration job over the last few months, finally I can reveal some of what I've been working on. The images below are screen captures from my '50's Fever' Digital Scrapbooking Kit, which is designed to be used in the Serif Software 'Craft Artist'. I work exclusively on creating these digital scrapbooking kits for Craft Artist and there'll be more of my work released next year!

So what is Digital Scrapbooking I hear you cry? Well, it's like regular scrapbooking but you create everything 'in computer'. Craft projects (not just limited to scrapbooks - greetings cards, gift tags, menus, wedding stationery & favours, cupcake wrappers, cake boxes, party bags...the options are endless) can then be printed at home and embellished (personally, I like to add as much glitter as humanly possible!). 

50's Fever is part of the 'Eras Collection' which is currently exclusive to Ideal World's Create and Craft channel (yes my work gets sold on the telly! how cool!) but is currently Sold Out! However, it will be released on the Serif Daisy Trail craft website in April so I will do another update then!
